Enrollment Inquiries
Most of the information about enrollment at Immanuel Lutheran School can be found on this page. Please read this page before clicking on one of the following links to begin the enrollment process.
Enrollment typically begins with completion of an application, followed by a meeting with the principal, records transferred and reviewed from the current school to Immanuel, and a final approval by the Immanuel Board of Education.
Admissions
The school encourages all children of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, as well as children of neighboring CLC (Church of the Lutheran Confession) congregations, to enroll at Immanuel Lutheran School. As we have opportunity, we welcome children from families outside of our church body and thank God that we have the opportunity to share with others that which our Lord has so generously given to us.
We ask that all incoming nonmember families meet with one of Immanuel’s pastors to discuss the doctrinal position of our church and school, and the potential impact on
the student.
In Minnesota, children entering kindergarten must be five years old by September 1. Children entering first grade must be six years old by September 1. We require that all incoming kindergarten students complete a preschool screening test and that the results be made available to Immanuel.
District 77 requires that a Health Census Form and a Transportation Form also be completed by all families every year. Optional forms include Free/Reduced Lunch Applications and Medication Forms. Paper versions of all offline documents are available in the school office.
All completed documents can be returned to the school office.

Financial Aid
Immanuel Lutheran Church subsidizes a large percent of the costs of Immanuel Lutheran School. This significantly reduces the costs to students who are members of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Families who are not members of Immanuel Lutheran Church will receive the member tuition rate in their initial year. In subsequent years, nonmember families will only be asked to pay the nonmember rate for the oldest student in the family and will receive the member rate for younger siblings. Other family discounts and financial aid may be available upon request. Financial aid decisions will be made in July.
