Exciting to finish of Deuteronomy and complete the Pentateuch. Moses wrote those first 5 books of the Bible and tomorrow we are moving into the time of Joshua, when God gave the promised land of Canaan to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Also, encouraging to listen to Jesus thoughts about the resurrection during this Easter week. Because He lives, we shall live also!
Deut. 34.7 Moses was 120 years old when he died. His eye was undimmed, and his vigor unabated.
The part about his eyes still being good has always stuck with me, and I often wonder what people did before eyeglasses were invented. The older I get, the more I appreciate this verse.
Before doing this Bible reading, I didn't realize that Moses had written the first five books. I probably learned it in school, but I didn't remember that.
I continue to be fascinated by God's attention to detail and his creativity and intelligent design. It amazes me that the song in Chapter 32, although recited and written down by Moses, was taught to him directly by God!

I agree Dori. I'm sure we learned in school but somehow, some parts seem new to me ...
