Feed My Lambs

Volume 1, Issue 1April 11, 2004
…keeping you informed concerning Christian Education at Immanuel Lutheran Church & School

Christian education has always been emphasized in the ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Since the founding of our congregation, Jesus’ words to Peter, “Feed My lambs” (John 21:15), have been taken to heart. Through the years, the Good Shepherd’s lambs have been fed and nourished at Immanuel through our Christian Day School, Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Youth Groups, and other ways as opportunities arise. The opportunities for Christian education which God has established in our midst are surely among our greatest blessings.

Those who are privileged to be directly involved with the many avenues of Christian education at Immanuel have the opportunity to regularly see what great blessings God brings through his part of our Gospel ministry. We have come to recognize that this is not always so apparent to those who may not have day to day contact with the Christian education at Immanuel.

Today, we begin what we will be a brief but regular glimpse into Christian education at Immanuel. Opportunities abound for feeding Christ’s lambs, if you wish to learn more or become more involved with Immanuel’s Christian education, please ask. May we all keep this ministry in our prayers and serve when and how we are able!

Round ’em Up

Kindergarten Roundup—the annual Kindergarten preview for next year’s prospective Kindergarten class—is coming to Immanuel on April 30th. Kindergarten Roundup is an opportunity for parents to tour the school, learn more about the all-day kindergarten program at Immanuel, talk to faculty and staff members, and gather information that is needed as decisions are made for next Fall’s “first day of school!”

Kindergarten Roundup at Immanuel also features a program by the current kindergarten class. Parents, grandparents, and anyone else is welcome to attend. You can also hear our current kindergarten students tell you about kindergarten in the radio ads currently running on KYSM (FM 103.5), KDOG (FM 96.7), and KEEZ (FM 99.1).

This year, Kindergarten Roundup at Immanuel adds a three-hour open house for anyone who is unable to come to the Roundup program earlier in the day. The open house will run from 3:00-6:00 p.m. in the Kindergarten room.
