The Espirt de Corps award has been set up in memory of Larry Doring, a 1965 graduate of Immanuel Lutheran High School, who was killed in action in Vietnam.

This recognition award is granted yearly to a student of Immanuel Lutheran High School who has shown such Christian qualities as follows:

• Christian character — the leading of a sanctified Christian life both within and outside the school.
• Good use of God-given talents.
• Responsibility and dependability in carrying out assigned tasks.
• Dedication to the eternal and temporal goals of our high school.
• Leadership — especially of the kind that lends stability to the school.
• Congeniality — a warm, friendly, outgoing personality.
