ALL PARTICIPANTS — End of year party, Thursday May 24, 4-5:30 PM
Elementary Chorus is an extracurricular choral group for students in grades 4-8. We are currently using a three session format. Students may attend any one, two, or all three sessions. During each session students sing for church twice, perform for a concert, and sing at a nursing home or similar place. Other opportunities may present themselves. Concert dates determine the session lengths.
Chorus main purpose is to praise the Lord with song, whether the songs are sacred or secular. In the process we will also work on good singing habits and ways to present various songs.
All participants receive certificates. Students in their second through fifth year of participation receive medals year participation or ribbons for participating in one or two sessions. All awards are given at the last concert. The end of the year party is for all who participated during the school year.
Chorus meets on Thursdays from 2:50PM to 3:30PM. Students join by attending the first practice or contacting Mrs. Karla Olmanson.
*Any changes or additions will be announced at chorus and in the Weekly Update. Chorus members rehearse briefly 15 minutes before each service in the 7th and 8th grade room. Rehearsal times before concerts will be announced later.
