  1. Read Daniel 4:1-3. Who is relating this account? To whom is he speaking? Why is he doing so?

  2. Read Daniel 4:4-18. Describe briefly the events depicted in Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.

  3. Read Daniel 4:19-27. How did Daniel (Belteshazzar) interpret Nebuchadnezzar’s dream?

  4. Read Daniel 4:28-33. What happened to Nebuchadnezzar as he voiced his pride?

  5. Read Daniel 4:34-37. What truth did Nebuchadnezzar come to recognize and confess? With what results did he confess this truth?

  6. How might we apply this truth as well of these events in Nebuchadnezzar’s life to our own lives?

  1. Read Psalm 90:1-2. Concerning which attribute of God does Moses here speak? What meaning does this attribute have for us?

  2. Read Psalm 90:3-6. How does the eternal nature of God compare with that of man? How should knowing this affect our attitudes towards ourselves and towards God?

  3. Read Psalm 90:7-12. What should the difficulties of this life teach us to do? Knowing that Moses is the author of this Psalm, of what historical situation might he be thinking?

  4. Read Psalm 90:13-17. For what does Moses now pray? Why ought we pray for the very same things in our day?
