  1. There is a need for deliverance. Cf: Jesus in John 3, "…that which is born of flesh…"

  2. Why a NEW song? (Psalm 98, Revelation 14:3, etc.)

  3. Consider Psalm 40:4 and consider how it applied to David and his peers; to Nicodemus and his peers; to us and our peers.

  4. What are God’s thoughts toward us? (v. 5) See Jeremiah 29:11.

  5. In what places of the Psalm does Christian witnessing come forward?

  6. Read vv. 9-10 again. Apply these verses to our earlier discussion concerning God-appointed leadership (F in part I above).
